OAKDALE, Minn. - It just may be the most comfy place to watch a movie in the Twin Cities.
The Marcus Oakdale Cinema is gradually installing "Dream Lounger" seats, which fully recline, in all of its theaters. The seats are in nine of the 17 theaters so far, with plans to have the remainder complete by Christmas. According to Marcus Theatres, the "UltraScreen" is now the first "premium large format screen" in the country to also have all "Dream Lounger" seats.
General Manager Dave Bresette says prices will not increase for moviegoers. It's $13 a ticket in the UltraScreen and $10 for a matinee. The theatres charges $5 for all movies on Tuesdays.
KARE 11's Bryan Piatt checks out the comfortable upgrades.
