MINNEAPOLIS - Officials with Minnesota's new online health insurance marketplace say the system is running smoothly after a bumpy start Tuesday.
MNsure spokeswoman Jenni Bowring-McDonough says consumers created 1,610 accounts by early Wednesday morning. The MNsure website had close to 100,000 hits by Tuesday night after going live around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, and thousands of unique visitors, while operators took more than 1,700 calls Tuesday.
MNsure doesn't have figures yet for how many people have actually enrolled.
She says a server problem that made it difficult for many people to create accounts Tuesday has been fixed, though some consumers continue to report various glitches.
MNsure posted a list of insurance brokers who can help consumers Wednesday morning, and plans to post a list of helpers called "navigators" in the afternoon.
