BURNSVILLE, Minn-Let the race begin! The 15th Annual SUBWAY® Bedrace for Bridging takes off down snowy Buck Hill in Burnsville, MN on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Teams of four, preferably in costume, are invited to race down the tubing hill atop specially covered and provided bed mattresses.

The SUBWAY® Bedrace for Bridging was created in 1999 by local SUBWAY® Restaurants to raise awareness and funds for Bridging. The event has grown from less than 20 teams racing down Buck Hill's tubing slope, to an annual event that, since its inception, has raised more than a half a million dollars to support families transitioning out of homelessness.

Bridging gives hope, and often a leap toward financial stability, to thousands of local families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty by providing them with furniture and household goods.

Registration is now open. Team fees are $180 through February 28th and $200 at the event. Team members must be at least 18 years old and are encouraged to dress creatively and compete in the Cities 97 Costume Contest.

Buck Hill Ski Area is located at 15400 Buck Hill Road in Burnsville, Minn.
