GREEN BAY, Wis. - A Green Bay couple consider themselves major Packer fans, so it might have happened anyway.
But when Kyle Dryer and Kristal Tyczkowski's new son arrived with a broken collarbone, there was only one thing they could name him: Aaron Rodger Dryer.
The favorite quarterback of young Aaron's parents is recovering from his own broken collarbone, suffered at the hands of the division-rival Bears. ]
When Aaron was born Sunday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, just in time for the Packers game against the New York Giants, medical staff discovered he had a broken left collarbone, same side as Aaron Rodgers' injury.
Kyle Dryer and Kristal Tyczkowski figured they had no choice but to name their son after the injured Packers QB.
The physician who delivered the baby, Dr. Robert Moyer, tells Press-Gazette Media collarbone injuries are fairly common in newborns. He says the injury typically heals easily within a couple of weeks.
