ST. PAUL, Minn. - Richfield senior Obsa Ali posted the second-fastest time by a boy's high school winner at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday.
Ali finished the boys gold 5000M race with a time of 15:30.8, second all-time behind Duluth East's Nic Matack, who posted a time of 15:12 to win the event in 1996. It was Ali's second-straight Roy Griak Invitational title after finishing first and posting a time of 16:17.0 in the boys maroon race last year. Ali was named KARE 11's Athlete of the Week.
