MINNEAPOLIS -- WCCO-TV has let go of one of their news anchors.
Jeanette Trompeter, the 5 p.m. newscast anchor was let go from WCCO-TV for budget reasons.
Kiki Rosatti from WCCO confirmed the news Monday afternoon. Fellow WCCO reporters' facebook pages also confirmed Trompeter's release from WCCO.
Trompeter anchored the 5 p.m. newscasts and was a reporter. She did a weekly feature called "Finding Minnesota."
Trompeter came to the Twin Cities in April of 2005 from Des Moines, Iowa where she was the anchor of the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
