MINNEAPOLIS - A lot of gardeners have passion for their plants and gardens, but if you have a passion for trains and you like gardens we have the perfect magazine and club for you!
The Garden Railway Magazine recently highlighted an amazing backyard right here in Minnesota, Bob Rivard or Chooch as he is been called for years has loved trains since he was 5 years old. He has been taking pictures of trains, watching trains, chasing trains and collecting trains for years. About a decade ago he decided to create a Garden Railway in his backyard. It has taken him years of research to find the perfect rail cars, the scenery and everything that makes this backyard into a miniature version of a branch railway from 1970 in Nebraska. He did it complete with an amazing handmade trestle, a stream, bridges, a lumber yard, a grain elevator, and a oil distribution center.
Chooch joined the Minnesota Railway Garden Society last year and said that sharing his passion is really important to him and he loves being apart of this group of people that share his love for trains.
Bobby and I work with Chooch and we are so happy that we had a chance to see his masterpiece and share it with all of you!
Great job Chooch!
