GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - St. Paul's Ashley DuBose is the latest Minnesotan to advance past the blind auditions in NBC's "The Voice."
DuBose, 23, appeared on the show on Tuesday. She sang Rihanna's hit "Diamonds (in the Sky)" to perfection, getting all four judges to spin their chairs.
DuBose chose Adam Levine as her coach, saying that she went with her gut. She did say on the show that she almost went with Cee Lo Green.
DuBose was in college when she found out she was pregnant with her 3-year-old daughter. She works full-time, but chose to try out for "The Voice" because of her passion for music.
She is the second Minnesotan to make it past the blind audition round in this season of "The Voice." Holly Henry, 19, of Minneapolis, chose Blake Shelton as her coach.
