Bourbon Glazed Steak Tips and Garlic Butter Rice

Four Bourbon Tips:

½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup pineapple juice
2 Tbsp bourbon
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp beef base
1 cup sliced mushrooms
28 ounces steak tips

For Garlic Butter Rice:

1 cup white or brown rice
1 tsp chicken base
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp parsley flakes
2 tsp onion powder
2 pieces butter

Combine all of the ingredients for the rice in a small bowl. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water and the contents of the rice bowl to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.

Meanwhile, add the brown sugar, pineapple juice, bourbon, Worcestershire, onion powder, garlic powder, and beef base to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.

To prepare the beef, preheat 4 TBSP of oil in an extra-large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook for 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly browned. Add the mushrooms and continue cooking for 6-8 minutes until tender and beef reaches an internal temperature of 145 °F. Remove from heat, pour the glaze from above over the beef and stir to coat. Serve beef and glaze mixture over cooked garlic butter rice.
