MAPLEWOOD, Minn. -- A man was killed after the crane he was operating tipped on its side, according to authorities.
The accident happened around 12:00 p.m. Monday at a construction site at the St. Paul Hmong Alliance Church.
Police say they provided medical care to the crane's operator, 34-year-old Cory Lewellin, of Ogilvie, as they worked to free him from the cab. They took Lewellin to Regions Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say they will not speculate as to the cause of the accident. Minnesota OSHA personnel are investigating.
