Chatterbox Pub's Pumpkin Creme Brulee

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - For more than a dozen years Twin Cities Chatterbox pubs have earned a reputation for serving up fun along with great drinks and innovative menu offerings.

Chef Justin Grecco recently came on board as head corporate chef and he joined us on KARE 11 News at 4 to serve up something special for Halloween.

CHATTERBOX -Pumpkin Crème Brûlée

(filling for serving 4 Mini Pumpkins)

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup Pumpkin Puree (or canned Pumpkin)

3 Cups Heavy Cream

6 Egg yolks

1 Teaspoon cinnamon

1 Teaspoon Nutmeg

¼ Cup sugar

1 Teaspoon allspice

PROCEDURE:

scoop out mini pumpkins/ use for puree (or easy to use canned pumpkin) Mix eggs sugar and cream together with pumpkin puree in sauce pan - place over heat - stirring - and bring to low heat - about 200 degrees for few minutes.

Then Whisk in all spices.

Pour cream mixture into mini pumpkins.

Place on cookie tray and bake in oven at 375 for 15 mins / or till golden brown tops.

To finish brûlée topping - Add ¼ teaspoon sugar on top of each and torch (or place under broiler for few seconds)

serve warm
