MINNEAPOLIS -- A fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Olson Memorial Highway and Morgan Avenue in Minneapolis early Sunday morning.
At about 1 a.m., four vehicles were involved in a traffic accident that left two dead.
Police said that three vehicles were stopped at the traffic light when a fourth vehicle struck one of the cars from behind, creating a chain reaction.
The two-occupants in the vehicle struck first were killed. The driver of the fourth vehicle, and three occupants from the second vehicle are being treated with non-life threatening injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center.
One of the lives lost was 21-year-old Brandy Anne Banks. Some of her family members went to the scene of the accident Sunday to remember her life.
"She put a smile on everyone's face, she was always there for people that needed or help or people that were down," said her cousin Derrick Banks.
Her family said Brandy and her 20-year-old friend were likely returning from a concert at the time of the accident.
A fund has been set up in Brandy Ann Banks-Sutta's name. Anyone who would like to donate can ask for account 9442811966 at any TCF Bank.
No arrests have been made and it is unknown at this time if speed or alcohol were factors in this case.
