ROSEVILLE, Minn. -- Two highways in Shakopee and Chaska will be closing Friday night due to flooding.
Highway 101 in Shakopee and Highway 41 in Chaska will close at approximately 6 p.m. according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) and the Minnesota State Patrol.
Highway 101 will be closed between Flying Cloud Drive and downtown Shakopee. Mn/DOT suggests the detour route for southbound motorists is eastbound Highway 212 to southbound I-494, to southbound Highway 169, to Highway 101. Northbound motorists can reverse the route.
Highway 41 will be closed north of Highway 169 in Chaska between approximately Dem Com Road and Flying Cloud Drive. The suggested detour route is Highway 169, I-494 and Highway 212 according to Mn/DOT.
Mn/DOT will try to keep the roads open through rush hour Friday if possible.
