MINNEAPOLIS - Reid Travis scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds as DeLaSalle won their second consecutive state championship.
The junior forward carried the Islanders throughout the tournament and was a vocal leader on and off the court. Travis was a double-double machine during the Islanders run to the state title. Travis started the tournament off by posting 23 points and 16 rebounds in DeLasalle's opening round win over Sartell-St. Stephen.
Travis followed that up by scoring 30 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the semifinal blowout win over St. Paul Johnson. Overall, Travis averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds during the state tournament.
