ANOKA, Minn. - Anoka track and field star Ky'Eric Baynes continued to show why he may be the best triple jumper in the state.
During the All-American Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the sophomore won the triple jump competition and broke the meet record by nearly 3'. Baynes posted a jump of 46'-9.75", which also broke the Anoka High School record that stood for 21 years.
Baynes also ran a 52 second 400m and had a 52.10 splin in the 4x400 relay at the All-American Invitational. At the Northern Badger Invitational earlier this season, Baynes triple jumped 45'-7" and posted a leap of 44'-9" at the St. Thomas Showcase Select Meet.
