MINNEAPOLIS - Standing on the sidelines, Sasha Bornschlegl never thought the game would come down to it.
The game was scoreless late in the fourth quarter when St. Croix Lutheran drove down the field and positioned them at the five yard line for a chance to advance to the Class 3A state football championship. Crusaders junior kicker Bornschlegl drilled the ball straight through the uprights for the game-winning 23-yard field goal to give St. Croix Lutheran a 3-0 win over Proctor.
