MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Golden Gophers may have lost Saturday's game to the Badgers 20-7, but it was still a record day.

The Border Battle brought out a record 53,090 fans -- the most ever to watch a game at TCF Bank Stadium.

Gophers fans have been treated to an 8-win season, their best since 2003 when Minnesota finished with a 10-3 record.

In addition to the record crowd, the game was also the coldest ever at TCF Bank Stadium.
