MINNEAPOLIS -- The Greater Twin Cities United Way will be launching a new campaign for kids on "Giving Tuesday", November 27th.

Pass the Grade is a fun, educational, online game giving players an inside look into children in poverty. Players will experience four challenges to teach them of the hardships these children go through and what they must overcome to succeed in school.

For every person that completes the game $1 will be donated to the United Way Pass the Grade Campaign. Their goal is to help 7,500 kids pass the grade in order to give 5,000 kids a healthy snack at school, 1,500 kids one-on-one tutoring and reading help, and 1,000 kids able to take part in after-school programs.

United Way encourages everyone to go online beginning Tuesday to complete the game and to encourage others by sharing the link via Twitter, Facebook, and other social website. The game can be found at uwpassthegrade.org.
