"I wouldn't be here without the heroes!"

When her uncle Mike was deployed to Iraq, then 11 year old Jenessa Largent wanted to show her appreciation for him and all of the soldiers serving our country. So, she designed a bracelet in his honor. Word of Jenessa's bracelets spread, and now four years later she has formed Harms Way 4 Kids to get her message and her bracelets out, worldwide.

Jenessa has inspired over 6,000 people across the country to help her make the bracelets and together they have made over 250,000. Orders for the bracelets have come from all over the world, and they have been sent to soldiers serving in many countries. She has taken her message beyond the bracelets and has started sharing it through public speaking opportunities.

Her favorite parts of the project are meeting the soldiers and their families and establishing friendships with people from all over. Jenessa believes that leaders can rise from the need for change, and she has become a leader in the initiative of supporting the troops. Her passion and message are very clear- we need to show our appreciation for the soldiers because freedom isn't always free.
