"It makes me feel proud to help families get their loved ones buried." Helen Williams steps in to help families in North Minneapolis during the most difficult times. Her work started in 1996 when she tried to send flowers to a funeral for a 13 year old boy, but was informed that no funeral arrangements had been made. That was the first family she helped, and she's been helping families who have lost loved ones ever since. Helen helps these families in every way imaginable. She is a rock of support, a resource, a liaison, a funeral coordinator and a friend. Word of her kindness and knowledge has spread beyond North Minneapolis, and she has started receiving calls from people as far away as California looking for help. Helen doesn't say no! A resident of North Minneapolis for over 35 years, Helen wants to do more to help her neighborhood. Regardless of the situation, she finds a way to make everything happen. Her goal is to provide each family final dignity with love. Designated Charity: True Vine Community Services
