MINNEAPOLIS -- Marilyn Sharpe has been serving her community as a volunteer parent educator for over 30 years.

Marilyn's volunteer efforts started when she reluctantly accepted a request to teach 7th grade confirmation at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church. She's never looked back. Over the years, her love for teaching youth evolved into a passion for educating adults, particularly parents.

Today Marilyn is the Principal at Marilyn Sharpe Ministries, has founded the organization Parents Share and is a published author. The goal of her efforts is to equip parents to be the best they can be; the cornerstones of her teaching are faith, understanding and unconditional love.

To Marilyn, volunteering is a way to live out her faith everyday. Her efforts can be understood through the words of Mother Teresa, "We do no great things,  only small things with great love."
