MINNEAPOLIS--Help to install and restore raingardens at Folwell Performing Arts Magnet School in South Minneapolis on Saturday, October 26 with Metro Blooms.

Raingardens provide schools with an opportunity to reduce runoff from parking lots, playgrounds and sports fields. Metro Blooms works to install and restore raingardens in schools while educating students and their families on the role of raingardens in protecting clean water.

Volunteers will be trained on-site and gloves and refreshments will be provided.

If an indoor volunteer project is more your style, the organization is also looking for volunteers at the annual Minneapolis Garden Awards on November 7. Volunteers are needed to assist with everything from decor set-up to photography skills and more. Volunteers are invited to enjoy the amazing gardens and desert reception.

For more information call 651-699-2426 or visit Metro Blooms.
