Tax day changes; fewer post offices extending hours

As the tax deadline approaches, a word of advice for last minute tax filers, make sure you check the closing time at your local post office.

Typically, most post offices offer extended hours on April 15th to allow customers to mail their tax returns on time.

However this year, fewer post offices will remain open past their regular hours. The U.S. Postal Service says with more people filing electronically this year and the economy's impact on the postal service, staying open longer doesn't make financial sense.
