BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Our July plant of the month is the Rex Begonia.
Bobby and I found it growing in numerous places in a beautiful yard in Burnsville and we thought it was a very interesting plant to highlight.
It does very well in low light areas and brings tons of color to those darker spots in your garden with it's leaves. There are no significant flowers it is all about the colorful leaves.
The type that we loved were called the Marmaduke Rex Begonia and the homeowner had it in the garden, in pots and it looked great in these shady areas. The other great thing is you can bring it indoors in the winter and it will do very well.
