GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Today author and nutritionist Maria Emmerich joined us with a recipe for making your own healthy pizza. Maria said most frozen pizzas are made with weight-gaining trans-fats. Maria also showed us how you can make delicious crackers from flatbread.

Maria's Thin Crust Pizza
1 Joseph's Flatbread Roll-Up (filled with omega 3, fiber and protein)
¼ Cup homemade marinara or low sugar marinara (most marinara has high fructose corn syrup)
1 link of chicken sausage (try nitrate free)
½ green pepper, chopped
½ Cup mushrooms. Sliced
½ Cup mozzarella, not pre-shredded! (pre-shredded cheese has a plastic-like film over it so it doesn't stick together)
Any other desired toppings
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray roll-up with cooking spray and place on cooking pan or Pizza Stone in oven. When it just starts to brown, flip. Once the other side starts to brown remove and arrange the sauce, chicken sausage, peppers, mushrooms and cheese onto roll up. Bake in oven for 7 minutes or until it is crispy and cheese is melted.
