GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Friday for much of Minnesota & Wisconsin as snow continues to fall, left from the heavy snow that fell to our south Thursday.

Expect the heaviest snow to fall through the early to mid morning hours with most accumulating snowfall done by the noon hour in the metro.

We'll still see light snow through the afternoon/evening with flurries into the night and early  Saturday with little additional accumulation. Metro totals will range from 3 to 4 inches with 5 inch amounts just south and southeast of the Twin Cities metro.

Highest Minnesota totals will be in far southeast Minnesota where some places could see up to 5 to 8 inches of fresh snow.

Quiet weather will move in for Saturday & Sunday with a little more snow possible Sunday.
