MINNEAPOLIS -- Authorities have identified the bicyclist killed in a hit-and-run in Minneapolis early Saturday morning.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says 28-year-old Elyse Stern of Minneapolis died from multiple blunt force injuries after she was struck by a car near the intersection of Lake Street East and Cedar Avenue South.
Witnesses provided police with a description of the vehicle they saw leaving the scene, and officers were able locate it near Franklin Avenue East and Bloomington Avenue South.
Authorities arrested a 27-year-old man, who they say showed signs of intoxication. He's currently being held in the Hennepin County Jail.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident and has not yet come forward to call the TIPS Line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
