BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Burnsville High School was placed on modified lockdown and may remain so for the rest of the day after an altercation Wednesday.
Ruth Dunn, spokesperson for Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191, tells KARE 11 that a situation in the community yesterday apparently boiled over at school, resulting in an altercation between students. Six students have been suspended.
One student received a bruise to the upper part of his face, but otherwise no injuries were reported.
Dunn says students continue going to classes but no movement is allowed in the halls while classes are in session.
Extra police are also on campus to keep things safe and calm.
