MINNEAPOLIS -- A man died after jumping from a Minneapolis overpass, landing on an open-top convertible.
The State Patrol says 23-year-old Adam R. Hauf of St. Louis Park jumped off the Franklin Avenue bridge around 5:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Hauf landed on the windshield of a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder in the northbound lane of Interstate 35W. He died at the scene.
According to the State Patrol website, Hauf showed signs of self-inflicted injuries prior to jumping off the bridge.
The driver of the convertible and a passenger were not seriously injured.
