MINNETONKA, Minn. -- Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation and observation after fire devoured their Minnetonka home Thursday morning.
Fire crews arrived at 3720 Arbor Lane just after 7 a.m. and found what Chief Joe Wallin called "a fully involved structure."
The fire was quickly elevated to two alarms, summoning mutual aid crews from Hopkins, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, and St. Louis Park.
While fire crews were able to bring the blaze under control, they were not able to save the structure, which is considered a total loss.
The cold weather impacted operations, forcing crews to rotate so they could warm up.
