GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Midtown Global Market shared several holiday dishes with us.
Lorenzo Ariza, owner of A la Salsa restaurant, shared a recipe for traditional Mexican Cornbread Stuffing and a Christmas salad.
Jamal Hashi, owner of Safari Express restaurant at MGM, shared a recipe for Somali sambusas (traditional triangular phillo pastries), a vegan soup and roasted goat cutlet. These foods are served in Somalia and throughout East Africa during the holiday Eid, which is celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramadan, as well as at weddings and other special events.
Katie Pham, owner of Pham's Deli restaurant at MGM, brought traditional Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, which her family makes for New Year celebrations. She shared a recipe for Pho Soup, egg rolls, and a stir fry dish.
