Elevening at Target Field
I realize it's been a while since I last blogged. For that, I apologize. It is inexcusable and unforgivable.
With that half hearted and disingenuous admission behind me, I offer you the latest online phenomenon.
Perhaps you've been witness to the art of "planking". The act of laying face down on the ground, on a car, on an escalator, whatever, and having someone snap your photo. Then posting that photo on some social media site, like Twitter or Facebook. It's downright silliness, and while I love it, many don't appreciate the humor behind it.
Still, there's no denying the recent popularity of planking, and its social spinoff sisters, "Owling", "Horsemanning", etc.
But I didn't want to jump on someone else's bandwagon, I decided to start my own phenomenon. And so I hereby introduce you to....
Yes, as in KARE 11. It's something anybody can do. It resembles the signal a referee gives on a touchdown, except the raised arms are straighter. It is 2 ones, forming a majestic 11.
So jump on board won't you? Submit photos of yourself or your kids "Elevening" to the KARE 11 Facebook page and I will give the best examples airtime on our weekend sportscasts.
The photos will also be featured in an "Elevening" photo gallery on kare11.com.
Enjoy, have fun with it, and start "Elevening!"
