MINNEAPOLIS - Hennepin County has unveiled a new program to help residents save money on medical costs.
The county has joined the "Coast2Coast" prescription program, which provides discounts of up to 75 percent on prescriptions. It also provides discounts on dental, vision, hearing and diabetes needs. Coast2Coast officials say many pet prescriptions are also included.
The cards are free, don't have any fees and don't require any paperwork. You can get the cards at Hennepin County health facilities, pharmacies, libraries and some government offices. You can also click here to download a discount card.
You can use the Coast2Coast RX card whether or not you have insurance. The company suggests people do cost comparisons to see if insurance or the discount program offers a better savings.
