GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Are your ready to roll in Minnesota, but don't know where to start?
Patty Soldner of the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota joined KARE 11 News @ 4 to announce some family-friendly summer bike rides.
- Tour of Saints - July 8
- Saint Paul Classic Bike Tour - Sept. 9
- Mankato River Ramble - Oct. 7
The mission of the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota is to make Minnesota more bicycle friendly so that more people ride bikes more often.
Events like these encourage people to dig their bikes out of the garage, dust them off, pump up the tires and go for a ride!
The Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota is a member supported nonprofit organization dedicated to making bicycling more friendly for individuals, schools, businesses and communities throughout Minnesota.
They educate bicyclists of all ages using a national curriculum. They advocate for bicycle-friendly laws, policies, projects and programs. They provide technical assistance to businesses and communities to help them become more bicycle friendly so that more people ride bikes more often. And they encourage biking through events such as the Tour of Saints, the Saint Paul Classic and the Mankato River Ramble.
They want bicycling in Minnesota to be a safe, easy, fun and cool choice for everyone!
