CHISAGO CITY, Minn. - An army of more than 100 family members, friends and volunteers will join law enforcement Wednesday afternoon to search for a missing woman.
Chisago County Sheriff Sheriff Rick Duncan tells KARE 11 that the crew will canvas Moody Park in Chisago Lakes Township starting at 2 p.m., searching for Danielle Jelinek of Oakdale.
Jelinek's family notified authorities Sunday after not hearing from her for days. Deputies went to a residence in Chisago Lakes Township where Danielle was last seen and found items that belonged to her. They also arrested a male at the residence for drug possession.
Investigators have not yet said whether that man is a suspect in Jelinek's disappearance.
Danielle Jelinek is 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. Her family says she disappeared without her purse, phone, ID or shoes.
Moody Park, located at Lofton and 242nd Street, is near the residence where Jelinek was last seen. Her family is expected to meet with the media and issue a plea in hopes someone knows where Danielle is.
