ST. PAUL, Minn. - The search for Kira Trevino hit the Mississippi River Thursday.
Crews used boats to search the water near the Wakota Bridge in South Saint Paul.
Trevino has been missing since February, when she failed to show up for work at the Mall of America.
Thursday volunteer searchers who have been combing Twin Cities lakes in search of Kira's body announced a $1,000 reward for the person who finds Kira's body. The money was collected from private donors.
Her husband Jeff Trevino is charged with second degree murder, though Kira's body has not been found. Investigators say there is sufficient evidence to assume Kira Trevino was killed.
Jeff Trevino has pleaded not guilty.
