PHOENIX - Jodi Arias wants to fire her lead defense attorney.
In the 12-page handwritten document, Arias says attorney Kirk Nurmi hasn't seen her since May 23.
That's when Phoenix jurors reached an impasse on whether to sentence her to life in prison or death for the 2008 murder of boyfriend Travis Alexander.
Arias wrote that Nurmi "has little to no tolerance for my emotional and psychological shortcomings" and she no longer trusts him. The Arizona Republic first reported on the filing.
She also tried to fire him in June, but Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens didn't grant her request.
Nurmi hasn't returned several calls seeking comment.
Arias was in court Thursday for a settlement conference. The court says no agreement was reached and the case was referred back to Stephens.
Arias has another hearing scheduled for Nov. 1.
