GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - For many people a new year often brings new financial resolutions, but saving has to be a conscious effort you make all year round.
Carrie Rocha, of Pocket Your Dollars, finds deals for a living, but at one time, she found herself tens of thousands of dollars in debt. Student loans, and assessment and against the home she owns with her husband. Common expenditures that added up to a big financial hole.
Rocha and her husband decided to make a plan to get out of debt, which they did in two years. In the process, Rocha learned she first had to change her attitude about money.
She lays it out in "Pocket Your Dollars" a book designed to walk you through the process of re-working your attitude to live within your means, and even save.
