STILLWATER, Minn. - Boaters and other water traffic could experience delays on Tuesday after a cable snapped on the historic Stillwater Lift Bridge.
The lift bridge is currently stuck in the down position, which means that traffic will not be impacted.
"There are no safety issues," MnDOT's Kent Barnard told KARE 11.
The cable snapped at about 8 p.m. as the bridge was being lowered.
Bridge inspectors will be out to make repairs first thing Monday morning. It's possible that the repairs could be completed sometime on Monday.
