FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. - OK, let's not even pretend.
While some claim to like the Midway thrill rides best, and others sing the praises of the ag barns or fine arts displays, most people who walk through the gates of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Falcon Heights have but one thing on their mind.
That's why the fair's annual unveiling of new foods is consistently one of the most viewed stories on kare11.com and most other Twin Cities websites. Fairgoers like to look at the gorgeously styled photographs of the new offerings, and dream about what they'll taste like when late August rolls around.
This year there are 40 new foods for hungry (or stuffed) visitors to the Great Minnesota Get-Together to try. They range from breakfast items (Hansen's Foods Breakfast Sausage Corndog) to twists on time-tested junkfood (Famous Dave's Cajun Pork Rinds) and foodie-fav delicacies (Minnesota Wine Country's Wine Glazed Deep Fried Meatloaf).
The full menu of new foods can be seen on the Minnesota State Fair website, or check out the special pdf attached to this story.
