FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. - It's not uncommon to overdo it when eating at the Fair.

It's hard to resist the bucket of warm chocolate chip cookies, the malts, the cheese curds.

Does it have you wondering just how healthy you are?

Southside Community Health Services can help.

Southside Community Health Services (SCHS), Q Health Connections and partners will be providing glucose screenings in the HealthFair11 Building from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.  And you don't need to fast beforehand.

Each evening, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. there will be a partner share session.  Collaborating organizations will be showcased that work with the community to improve public health including The National Children's Study, St. Paul Foundation, Minnesota Department of Health, and more.

SCHS has provided medical, dental, and vision services to the uninsured and underinsured in South Minneapolis and Stillwater Washington County area for more than 40 years.

SCHS owns and operates both a dental mobile unit and the "Q"mmunity mobile medical unit, which often partners with Health Fair 11, to further serve the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.

The organization strongly believes in the importance of reaching out to the community to improve access to primary health care and reduce health disparities. SCHS' mission is to earn the right to serve the community and to encourage community members to engage in their own health.
