MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis Mayor RT Rybak is laying the groundwork for his next chapter.
He announced Wednesday afternoon that he will take over as executive director of "Generation Next" when he steps down as mayor in January.
Generation Next is a partnership of twin cities organizations and leaders focused on closing the achievement gap.
Rybak says he will also teach a course at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. The name of that course? Mayor 101 - which will explore the challenges of running a major American city.
