A 19-year-old woman is in trouble with police after she was busted for allegedly running a house of prostitution. Authorities say the woman has been running a prostitution ring out the Brooklyn Park home she rents from her stepfather. "That's what makes this case so unusual, where it was happening," Capt. Greg Roehl of the Brooklyn Park Police Department said. The home sits in a tidy subdivision. Residents call the neighborhood quiet and family-oriented. A home daycare is directly across from where police say Rochelle Persaud operated the brothel for about three months. Jessie Massicotte runs the daycare. "My six-year-old is now asking me questions about what's going on there and I don't know how to answer those," Massicotte said. Massicotte said she saw cars coming and going all hours of the day. "They seemed like respectable people. I noticed a lot of men in suits," Massicotte said. Police say ads for the brothel appeared on a popular website called Craigslist. The brothel was busted last week by an undercover police officer. According to the criminal complaint, Persaud told police she and eight others worked as prostitutes inside the home. One prostitute was a 16-year-old girl. "That baffles me. I don't understand where the parents of this 16-year-old girl are, you know?" asked Massicotte. There is no longer an ad for the Brooklyn Park brothel on Craigslist, but there is a warning posted telling potential customers to stay away. "I've talked to other people who say there is all sorts of information and ads like this out there," Roehl said. Police say four other women who worked in the home were arrested. Prosecutors are considering charges against them. Police say they have seized notes and computers from the home, which may lead them to some of the customers.
