Police say they've arrested a suspect in the October 4th abduction and rape of a woman who was taken from the 38th Street light rail station in Minneapolis. Metro Transit police say the 28-year-old Minneapolis man with no permanent address was arrested by St. Paul police yesterday afternoon and is being held in the Hennepin County Jail. Authorities say the suspect is expected to be charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and aggravated robbery. Police say the 44-year-old Minneapolis woman was kidnapped from the light rail station just before 2 a.m., taken to a nearby apartment building and brutally beaten, robbed and raped. Police say video from the transit platform helped identify the suspect. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
