It's bike walk week and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak opted for his bicycle today for the commute to downtown Minneapolis.
In a contest to see who could get to work first, Rybak came out the winner when he rode up to the Central Library in downtown Minneapolis.
Barely a sweat on his brow from the biking commute the Mayor proclaimed his city could soon take over the #1 spot for bike communters in the nation.
"We're gonna beat Portland, Oregon this year!" Rybak exclaimed.
With rising fuel costs and traffic aggravating nearly every working commuter, the bike or walk commute was highlighted today as the best option for those of us trying to stay fit both in body, and in the wallet, on the morning commute.
