MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis police arrested a 37-year-old man after finding both he and his daughter drunk inside a vehicle parked in a church parking lot.
Officers approached the parking lot at the intersection of Nicollet and Franklin early Thursday and noticed the vehicle running with two people inside.
They found an open bottle of vodka, and saw that both the man and his 15-year-old daughter were obviously intoxicated. A preliminary blood alcohol test of the adult suspect registered .30, more than three times the legal limit.
The man was taken into custody on a long list of offenses, including child abuse, driving while intoxicated, open bottle, and distributing material harmful to a minor.
The 15-year-old was cited for underage consumption, and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
Criminal charges are expected.
