GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Earth Day is just two days away and there are many companies and organizations doing something special to mark the occasion.
Here in the Twin Cities Aveda is doing something on a global level by raising money and awareness for the issue.
Gig Abbadie, Director of Brand Programs with Aveda was a guest on KARE 11 Sunrise to talk more about the event.
The Twin Cities Aveda Walk for Water will feature a Puppy Parade and Baby Stroll in addition to the 6 kilometer walk along the Mississippi River.

- Registration 8 a.m.
- Walk begins at 9 a.m.
Holmes Park (across from the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis)
400 Central Avenue Southeast in Minneapolis (612-331-1400)
On street parking is available as well as parking ramps at the corner of SE 2nd and University.
All proceeds from the walk will benefit the Audubon Mississippi River Campaign.
