MINNEAPOLIS -- A new interactive art project in the Twin Cities is asking people to find their happy places -- as well as those locations that have caused them sadness.

The project by University of Minnesota associate professor Rebecca Krinke is called "Unseen/Seen: The Mapping of Joy and Pain."

The project will travel to area parks, starting Friday at Father Hennepin Bluffs Park in Minneapolis. Members of the public can visit the exhibit and map places in the Twin Cities where they have experienced joy or pain.

Krinke says the project has the potential to be revealing, even cathartic, and challenges conventional ways of seeing the Twin Cities. Krinke envisions bringing the project to a national level.
