Pedestrian hit, killed trying to cross Oakdale highway

OAKDALE, Minn. -- A pedestrian attempting to cross a highway was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Oakdale Saturday night.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 19-year-old Anthony Mailloux was running across Highway 36 from north to south near Division Street. N, Highway 120, around midnight when he was struck by a Chevy Impala traveling eastbound.

The 45-year-old woman driving the car had a green light before striking the victim, according to the incident report. She was not injured.
