LAKE CRYSTAL, Minn. - A Minneapolis man was killed after the car he was driving was hit while it was stuck in a ditch Saturday evening.
According to the State Patrol, around 5:30 p.m., 24-year-old John Kennedy IV of Minneapolis was the driver of a car that was stuck in a ditch facing eastbound off the westbound lane of Highway 60 near Lake Crystal. A second vehicle traveling westbound crashed into the car head on.
Kennedy did not survive. His passenger Alexandra Moeller, 22, of Minneapolis was treated at the hospital and released.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
The State Patrol says snowy conditions were a factor in the crash.
